Do I have to register online? How?
Yes, all registration and payment is done online. There are two systems involved in registration: Rowing Canada’s, and our club’s iCrew system. What happens in each system depends on whether you are registering for a short program (like Learn To Row, Social Strokes, Camps), or an ongoing Juniors/Masters program.
iCrew Registration
What do we use iCrew for?
See our Members Area page for more information.
ICrew asked for a "club code"? What is it?
The GNRC iCrew club code is 510495.
When I try to check out in PayPal, the system won't accept my province or postal code.
Make sure that your country is set to Canada!
Can I pay from a bank account instead of a credit or debit card?
Not in guest checkout, but if you create a PayPal account, you can link that account to your bank.
Rowing Canada Registration (RCA)
What is RCA (Rowing Canada Aviron)
Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) is a non-profit organization recognized by the Government of Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee as the national governing body for rowing in Canada. An RCA membership is required to row with this, or any other, rowing club in Canada. You will have an opportunity to sign up during the registration process.
What are RCA and RBC fees? Why do I have to pay them?
RCA (Rowing Canada Aviron) and RBC (Rowing BC) are the national and provincial associations governing rowing. They require that all participants pay a small annual fee, once per Program Year (April 1 to March 31). This fee is set by RCA & RBC, and goes directly to them to support rowing in Canada and BC.
What is the RCA Program Year, and what does that mean to me?
RCA's program year runs April 1 to March 31. No programs or registrations cross the April 1 boundary. Any drop-in passes expire on March 31.
I forgot my RCA username/password, or RCA has an old email for me. What do I do?
Please click on Forgot username or Forgot password on the RCA Log In page. If this doesn't work (i.e., if you no longer have access to the email that RCA has on file for you), contact RCA.
When I try to Accept the waiver or code of conduct, the Accept box isn't visible. What do I do?
Make sure you scroll down and check all of the little boxes for individual documents you are accepting. After the little boxes are all checked, the big Accept button should be clickable.
I tried to pay in RCA, but it wouldn't go through. What do I do?
Please check that the postal code is filled in on your RCA WRS account, and matches the postal code of the credit card you are using. To see that information, go to My Account, scroll down to the Contact Information section, and inspect the Address table.
