COVID-19 Information

Status as of July 28, 2021
BC is now in Step 3 of the BC Restart Plan. For the sport sector, and specifically the rowing community, this means (1) there are no limits on group sizes for outdoor sports, and (2) recreational travel, including for sport, within Canada is possible.

The mask mandate order under the Emergency Program Act has also been lifted as of July 1, 2021. Wearing masks on the dock is optional, and recommended by Rowing BC.

For more information, see A Careful Restart to Rowing at Rowing BC.

We ask that all rowers and visitors continue to follow the guidance from the BC CDC, which includes, among other things:

  • Stay at home when you’re sick, even if symptoms are mild.
  • When outside of your home, practicing social distancing by keeping two meters (six feet) away from one another.
  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow or sleeve.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
