Masters Sessions: Training

Designed for athletes with the fitness and technical ability to row an 8K–16K workout, at speed, while staying safely on the correct course and avoiding other traffic, through all sections of our waterway (Johnson St Bridge–Bay St Bridge–Selkirk Trestle–Tillicum Narrows). Rowing independently during these sessions is also an option at the coach's discretion.

Sessions may include technique drills, distance, time trial, and aerobic threshold work, race prep, as well as erg workouts. Workouts and boatings are defined in advance.

Our course flow pattern, pictured below, is about 3 km in each direction, so a typical session will require multiple traversals.
