Masters Sessions: Training

Designed for athletes with the fitness and technical ability to row an 8K–16K workout, at speed. Rowing independently during these sessions is also an option at the coach's discretion.

Sessions may include technique drills, distance, time trial, and aerobic threshold work, race prep, as well as erg workouts. Workouts and boatings are defined in advance.

Masters Sessions: Bridges

Designed for athletes looking to refine their rowing stroke, develop endurance on the water, and feel confident going into Masters Training Sessions.

Participants can expect to improve their skills in blade work, sequencing, and power application. Sessions feature structured lesson plans with clear technical focus.

Masters Sessions: Mobility

Every practice starts with 15-20 minutes of dynamic activation to ensure your body is warmed up before heading out on the water.

Exercises include stretching, strengthening, mobility and balance that will help your rowing and daily life. The on-water portion of the session will involve steady state and technical pieces, as well as the freedom to focus on your specific goals that day.

Womens Row (Masters & Juniors)

A supportive, social, women-only row. No set workouts or training plans, participants choose what they would like to do during each session. A great opportunity to focus on your technique, get some distance in, or just enjoy the beautiful Gorge Waterway.

Boatings are done on arrival.

Regattas: formal racing

Our coaches organize club entries at various regattas held on Vancouver Island. Members interested in racing further afield typically also self-organize to attend additional regattas on the mainland, across Canada and the US, and even Europe.
