There are year-round opportunities for Junior rowers . Many kids row every season year-round. Others mix and match rowing seasons with other activities. It's up to you.

Offers a range of training and competition intensities to support varying athlete goals, in a fun and welcoming team environment. On water all days that conditions permit!
Age: Grades 9-12
Experience: Prior experience required for Winter on-water rowing.
3 times/week. Wed & Fri 4-6 p.m., Saturday 9-11 a.m.
Block 1: November 12 - December 20, $350 + GST
Block 2: January 7 - February 14, $295 + GST
Block 3: February 18 - March 28, $295 + GST

Age: Grades 9-12
Experience: All levels, including those new to rowing
3 times/week. Wed & Fri 4–6 p.m., Sat 9–11 a.m.
Block 1: April 1–May 9, $360 + GST
Block 2: May 13–June 20, $360 + GST

Get a head start on Spring programs and welcome back the evening sun with this opportunity for technique foundation and refresh.
Age: 16+
Experience: Some rowing experience (LTR, GiftGlide, Romantic, etc.)
2 times/week. Mon & Wed 6–8 p.m.
March 9–25
$160 + GST

This program is specifically for recent newcomers to Canada and refugees.
Age 16+
Experience: All levels, including no experience
Sundays, 12–2pm., flexible drop-in attendance
April 5–June 21
No cost to participants
This program's cost is subsidized by generous grants from Marathon Surfaces and The Government of Canada's Community Sport For All Initiative Administered by Rowing Canada Aviron.

This "WOW Generations" program is a rowing introduction for teen girls & adult women, in a supportive, women-only environment.
Age: 14+
Experience: None necessary. Teen & adult participants can be new or returning rowers.
Saturdays, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
July 4–August 29
$150 + GST
Subsidized by a generous grant from the Government of Canada's Community Sport for All Initiative, administered by RCA

Can't commit to a structured Juniors program, but still want to row? Purchase a 10-row Punchcard for drop-in access to Juniors practices.
Not valid for Fall High School League practices.
Age: Grades 9 - 12
Experience: At least an LTR graduate level of experience is required to use a Punchcard.
10 rows. $275 plus GST

Experience: Learn to Row or greater experience required
Typically 4 times/week. Separate blocks for July & August

Technique foundation preparing you for continued recreational or competitive rowing.
Age: Grades 9 - 12
Experience: None required
Typically 2 times/week. Separate blocks for July & August

Returning summer 2026!
Fun introduction to rowing, plus games & activities.
Age: 14+
Experience: None required
Typically 1 week blocks, full day, during July & August

Returning fall 2026!
Schools we expect to practice at Gorge Narrows: Brookes-Westshore, Esquimalt, Lambrick, Spectrum, Victoria High. If your high school doesn't have a team, contact Coach Samantha (coach.sam.davis@gorgerowing.ca) to discuss options.

Typically 3 times/week, plus regattas
