The January rain took a break (mostly), and we all had fun at the January 11, 2026 Gift a Glide !

This one-of-a-kind event invited participants to step into rowing shells, learn the basics of the rowing stroke, and enjoy the beauty of the Gorge Waterway—no previous rowing experience required!

What's Included

The day began with an introduction to rowing fundamentals using the rowing machine and our stationary training shell on the dock. After the introduction, participants headed out onto the water with guidance from our active club members.

Rowers had a chance to rotate through different boats to experience a variety of rowing styles and equipment. Snacks, warm beverages, and time to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere completed the day!
